A friend lent me a dehydrator. They were probably glad to make some space in their kitchen as the thing is huge, but I wanted to give it a go as many people rave about theirs. In the UK they are not that popular, probably as our houses are so much smaller and we have no space for these oversized gadgets!! It hummed away like a microwave for twelve hours which was also a bit off putting!

There are many recipes for raw cookies on the web. I took this one from the rawtarian.com who must know a thing or two about raw cookies.

These were so simple to make, apart from the wait to sample (which is the downfall of dehydrating). They were maybe a little too sweet, probably because of the juice which I usually omit from my diet. So I will experiment again using less of an alternative liquid, as they were a bit too moist also.
