I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in August 2015. It kick started off with three relapses in that year. I’m in my fourties and live in London. After initial panic I decided to take action and not let this disease take me down.
This meant a complete overhaul of my lifestyle. This was not and still isn’t an easy thing to do. But if you have the will to make a change then you can. If you want to give yourself the best chance possible then you can. If I didn’t feel better now I wouldn’t bother sharing, but I do, so if I can help someone out there change up their game and get on top of their MS or other illness then this site has done it’s job. I initially started it to help me stay on track although falling off is all part of the process.
Since starting AIP I’ve had five years of no new lesions and no MS activity. I’ve truly never felt so good ~ my diet, along with a good exercise routine has genuinely helped me.
Now I tend to eat AIP about 80% of the time – I’ve allowed things back into my diet every now and again, and I am aware now what makes me feel good and what doesn’t. Pineapple is unfortunately a no no, and alcohol has to be in moderation, but I am not in any misery being on this diet, and certainly do not feel I miss out on anything, as now, after committing for a long time, I’ve got to a place where I know what is and what isn’t good for my body. Sometimes I ignore it and pay the consequences, but this diet has made me appreciate my health and well-being.
Just give it a go and try it!
