I love them. I love pastry. I love(d) pastry. So give me an AIP pastry recipe and I will give it a go. My go to has been these cassava and lard delights but a new kid is in town and I am FEELING them. This version is thanks to Nom Nom Paleo and they are so easy to make. I’ve stuffed them with beef and onion, chicken and leeks but the world is your oyster when it comes to filling them with anything tasty! They do contain eggs though.
Like the cassava pastry pies, then are fragile little things, but handle with care and they hold themselves together. Who needs gluten when you have mini hand pies?!!
Ingredients:
2 cups cassava flour
1/2 cup arrowroot flour
3/4 cup ghee
3 eggs
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Salt
